Cameron is 12 weeks today

What happens when we lose the orange binkie?

Around Christmas Ben decided that he only wanted to use the orange "binkies". At that point we had 2 and that was fine. Of course we're now down to 1 and Martins doesnt have any more. I do have a couple of blue ones but I'm sure if he'll use those or not. So this morning I said "We only have 1 orange binkie left and there are none at the store so if we lose the orange one on the big aeroplane you'll have to use a blue one" .. Ben pondered this and then said "When we go on the big aeroplane we might lose the orange binkie and then I'll sleep with nothing" .... I'll let you know.

The pink shoe fetish continues ...

2nd cousins or something

The weekend with Morgan (and her children Josie - 3 in Sep - and Jake - turned 1 in Feb) was nice. Another big Miller family get together and Ben had alot of fun.

In case you wondered what he looked like while he was talking (or not talking)

Cameron 10 weeks

He weighed 11lbs 10 at his 2 month doc appt.

(Not) sharing

Ben is really struggling with sharing. Today after his nap I suggested some more "brother" pictures. But as you see there was no room on the rocking chair for Cameron.
Cameron didn't mind!

The last 3 nights I've put Cameron in the bath with Ben. Ben throws a fit to start with but then once Cameron is in he has great fun washing him with the cloth. I was confused but realised tonight that Ben is very anxious about the thought of Cameron getting in the bath while the toys are out. Once the toys are packed away (Ben does this at high speed) then he's fine. So I guess the solution is to get Cameron his own toys and maybe Ben will realise that sharing has its benefits. Maybe not.

Today too in the garden Ben threw a real fit when Ayelen (18 month old girl) tried to use some of his toys. To my standard "We need to share, Ayelen came to visit so we need to be nice and share" he kept saying "I dont want Ayelen to be here". He was being bad so I started down the "Well you can go inside then by yourself" path and eventually he was being so bad I had to actually put him inside (he also refused to let me put sunscreen on). After a big crying fit (and a pee pee) he was fine and said "Ok I'll go out and play with Ayelen but I wont be nice". I said "You wont go outside until you're nice" and he replied with "Ok I'll just be nice but just a little bit".
