My brother arrived Thursday morning, 26 March at 2.40am. Cameron Lee Miller. He's ok.

Granny's been here for a week. But apparently baby micheal doesnt know this... Ben is making full use of the one on one attention.

Picnic

We were supposed to go out for dinner tonight, but poor Tad had to work late, so I got Ben a little pizza to go and said we would have a picnic in the living room instead (he was awfully disappointed we weren't going to the "restaurant")

More funny

Ben's friend Paulin is into the Disney Cars (from the film). We have a book and a couple of the cars, when we read the book if I don't know who a car is (its name) I'll say "we'll have to ask murielle", Paulins mum, cos she knows them all.

So yesterday, we were in the car, Ben and me. We pulled up beside a big pick-up truck at a traffic light, with something big in the back covered by a tarp. Ben looked out and said "oh whats in there" and I said "oh dont know, maybe a chest of drawers, maybe a bed, maybe a big suit case.. dont know cos we can't see under the tarp" and Ben said "oh have to ask Murielle"

Control freak

Murielle and Paulin are re-locating to Detroit this week and we will really miss them.

Ben will especially miss trying to boss Paulin around, even though Paulin generally ignores his attempts to do so!!

They came last night for dinner and here is Ben, insisting on riding behind Paulin on the trike, and trying to control what happens.






And here is Paulin's revenge! It was funny.

Princess shoes

We have a new dress up trunk at playgroup, Ben really enjoys the princess shoes. This morning he even looked at me said "right foot?" to make sure they were on the right feet.

Grandma & Grandpa Miller

Came yesterday with Austin. Ben had lots of fun.

Funny

At lunch today, Ben was feeding himself his soup and he said
"look, am eating my soup all by myself". He's getting more and more into the all-by-himself thing.
So I said "yes, you're a good boy" (note - I am trying to find some different ways to express positive thoughts to him other than "big boy" and "good boy" but I have to admit I'm finding it hard and obviously slipped up here)
Anyway, to which he said "yes going to help mummy and daddy lots with baby michael". So my "good" boy triggered him to think about helping with the baby, clearly he hears "you need to be a good boy and help mummy & daddy lots with the new baby" alot.
Then he said "yes help change baby michael's diapers too"

Then he thought for a minute (furrowed brows), then looked at me and said "mummy doesnt change diapers, only daddy". And said it again.

???

Anyway I started laughing.
